PALO ALTO, CA (November 21, 2024) – Undefeated super welterweight prospect Dante “The Inferno” Kirkman (3-0, 1 KO) delivered a stellar performance this past Saturday, November 16, 2024, scoring his first career knockout with a dominant 3rd-round TKO against Jose Rodriguez at the Fox Theater in Redwood City, CA. Fighting in front of a raucous hometown crowd, the 23-year-old senior at Stanford University showcased precision and power, flooring Rodriguez twice with punishing body shots before the referee stopped the bout at the 2:37 mark of round 3.

Kirkman’s impressive victory solidified his reputation as a rising star in the super welterweight division. “Getting my first knockout was an amazing feeling. It’s something every fighter dreams of, and to do it in front of my hometown fans made it even more special. I've been putting in the hard work in the gym, and it's incredible to see it all pay off in the ring."

Being the only professional boxer to walk the Stanford University campus in its school history, Kirkman appreciates the fans support he gets from students, in addition to his family and friends. “There’s nothing like fighting in front of the people who’ve supported me from the start. Palo Alto and Stanford have been my home, and I’m proud to represent both. My goal is to be the face of Stanford Boxing and inspire others to chase their dreams, no matter where they come from.”

Kirkman’s blend of athleticism, discipline, and academics sets him apart as a unique figure in the sport. With his first knockout in the books, the young prospect is eager to continue his rise and make a name for himself in and out of the ring.

“This win is just the beginning,” concluded Kirkman. “I’m excited to get back to training and keep improving. I want to stay active, build on this momentum, and work my way up the rankings. The goal is to show that I belong among the best in the division.”

A standout boxer and full-time student, Kirkman balances his promising career in the ring with his academic pursuits as a senior at Stanford University. With a perfect record and growing fanbase, he’s quickly becoming a hometown favorite in the Bay Area and a name to watch in boxing’s super welterweight division.
