Duarte vs. Sims Jr. Title Eliminator Official: All Fighters Make Weight in Chicago

The highly anticipated WBA Super Lightweight Title Eliminator between Oscar Duarte and Kenneth Sims Jr. is officially set for tomorrow night, as both main event fighters and the entire card successfully made weight today at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago. The Golden Boy Promotions event promises a night of crucial matchups, broadcast live on DAZN.

In the main event, Mexico's Oscar Duarte (29-2-1, 23 KOs) from Parral, Mexico, hit the mark at 139.8 lbs, looking ready for his eliminator clash. His opponent, Chicago's own Kenneth Sims Jr. (22-2-1, 8 KOs), also weighed in at 139.8 lbs, setting the stage for a compelling showdown for the WBA Super Lightweight Title Eliminator over 12 rounds.



The co-main event features a compelling welterweight contest between Regis Prograis (29-3, 24 KOs) of New Orleans, LA, who weighed 142 lbs, and Joseph Diaz (34-7-0, 15 KOs) of El Monte, CA, who came in at 142.2 lbs for their 10-round bout.

The undercard also saw all combatants successfully hit their respective targets:

In a 10-round cruiserweight bout, Tristan Kalkreuth (15-1, 10 KOs) from Las Vegas, NV, weighed 198.6 lbs against Houston, TX's Devonte Williams (13-2, 6 KOs) at 196.2 lbs.

Heavyweights will clash over 6 rounds as Joshua Edwards (3-0, 3 KOs) of Houston, TX, weighed 228 lbs, while Cayman Audie (4-1, 2 KOs) from Hinckley, MN, was 242 lbs.

The DAZN opener features an 8-round light heavyweight contest between Yair Gallardo (9-0, 8 KOs) of Mexico City, who weighed 175 lbs, and Gastonia, NC's Quinton Rankin (21-9-2, 16 KOs) at 174 lbs.

Additional preliminary bouts also made weight:

Gael Cabrera (8-0, 5 KOs) from Sonora, Mexico, weighed 123.6 lbs for his 8-round featherweight bout against Richard Diaz (3-0-1, 2 KOs) of Miami, FL, at 123.2 lbs.

In a 6-round lightweight contest, Mehki Phillips (6-0, 6 KOs) of Capital Heights, MA, weighed 133.8 lbs to face Joseph Cruz-Brown (12-14, 7 KOs) of Sonora, Mexico, at 134.6 lbs.

With the weigh-ins complete, all eyes are now on the Credit Union 1 Arena for Saturday night's action.
