PANAMA CITY, Panama - Luis Alberto "Pan Blanco" Rios - the Panama fighter who is due to battle Filipino world champion Johnriel Casimero for the IBF jr. flyweight world title - has won "Panama's Best National Boxer of the Year Award" at a meaningful ceremony last night at the plush Palacio Dorado Restaurant here in Panama City, Panama, and the young Panamanian appeared in high spirits and confident that he will dethrone the Filipino world champion Casimero on March 16 at the Megapolis Convention Center of the luxurious Hard Rock Hotel Panama.

"It's a great honor for me to receive this award given to me by the Panama Boxing Commission (COMIBOX). I feel really great in my preparation for my title fight with Casimero," said Luis Alberto Rios during the event attended by senators, promoters, world champions and other Panama boxing celebrities.

"Today I am weighting 118 lbs one month ahead of my clash with the Filipino World Champion. Training in the town of Rio Hato could not be better," shared Luis Alberto Rios who was accompanied by his handlers Gerardo Herrera, the man who received the "Manager of the Year Award", co-manager Melchor Herrera and Rios's regular promoter Rogelio Espi?o, who won the "Panama Promoter of the Year Award".

"We got the three awards out of three: best fighter, best manager and best promoter. Good performance for our winning team. The next challenge is to win the IBF Jr. Flyweight crown," commented Espi?o.

"Luis must not lose focus. Let's maintain course. There have been carnivals in Panama. He'll celebrate after March 16," he added.

"True, Panama has been having Carnivals and the whole country has been partying, dancing and having fun. Of course, not us. We keep on training good. During our spare time we watch our favorite Panama Boxing TV Shows LMB," shared Gilberto Herrera.

In fact, Panama Boxing TV Shows are the among the most hilarious and entertaining boxing TV shows in the world - surely more fun and laugh-provoking than boxing TV shows in most countries - and IBF challenger Luis Alberto Rios do not miss any of them.

Rios watches the Panama boxing shows during his free time.

One of Luis Alberto Rios's favorite episodes is "Salsa de Gruveo y Boxeo," a boxing show that Panama's LMB produced during the Carnivals.

The hilarious TV shows, which are in Spanish, are divided in several sections as "The Kissing Referee," "The Effecto Pacquiao," fun things in boxing as "Tas Loco," and others.

The show includes a short segment of Filipino World champion Nonito Donaire imitating Marquez, Darchinyan, Mayweather, Pacquiao and others; as well as a the ending of the Melindo-Esquer fight, and a sequence of devastating knock outs in which a boxer gets knocked out flat on his back ("cae arriba") or flat on his tommy ("cae abajo").
