MANNY PACQUIAO IN CANASTOTA, NY (PHOTOS)

Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is in Canastota, New York Saturday, June 7, to be formally inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, the 4th Filipino to receive boxing's highest honor after former world champion Pancho Villa (Francisco Guilledo), Gabriel Flash Elorde and promoter Lope Sarreal.

Pacquiao who took a break at his training camp at the Wildcard Gym in Los Angeles in preparation for his upcoming fight against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, made the journey from California to Syracuse by private jet, accompanied by close associate Sean Gibbons. His arrival in upstate New York underscored the significance of the moment, as he prepared to be celebrated for a career that saw him capture an unprecedented eight world titles in eight different weight divisions.

The induction caps a remarkable journey for the Filipino icon, whose career spanned over two decades, delivering countless thrilling fights and inspiring millions worldwide. From his humble beginnings to global superstardom, Pacquiao's relentless fighting style, incredible speed, and devastating power captivated audiences and earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting and dominant fighters of his era.
