Streaming action from Florence, Italy, begins at 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT
(June 6, 2025) — Italian cruiserweight contender Fabio Turchi looks to keep his world title hopes alive in front of the hometown crowd when he faces Latvia’s Milans Volkovs for the vacant WBO Global title in the 10-round main event this Sunday, June 8, at Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, Italy.
Turchi-Volkovs and undercard fights will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT. Undercard action includes the return of Top Rank-promoted junior welterweight prospect Hugo “The Fresh Prince of Monaco” Micallef, who squares off against Marko Dmitrovic in an eight-rounder.
Turchi (24-3, 16 KOs) compiled a 17-0 record before suffering his first pro defeat, a 12-round split decision against Tommy McCarthy in October 2019. He bounced back with three wins in Italy, then lost via second-round knockout to British hometown hero Richard Riakporhe in June 2022. Since then, he’s gone 4-0 with two knockouts, including a six-round decision over Viktar Chvarkou last December. Volkovs (11-3-2, 6 KOs), a seven-year veteran, returns after an eight-round decision win over Tommy Fletcher at London’s York Hall last October.
Micallef (10-0, 2 KOs) signed with Top Rank in 2021 after a decorated international amateur career. The 27-year-old is Monaco’s first pro boxer and one of its most prominent homegrown athletes. Since entering the paid ranks, he has competed in seven countries, including his U.S. debut on the Shakur Stevenson–Edwin De Los Santos undercard in November 2023. Dmitrovic (14-15-1, 7 KOs) is a 30-fight veteran from Bosnia and Herzegovina coming off a four-round decision over Marko Pavlovic in April.
In other streaming action:
Francesco Grandelli (18-4-2, 4 KOs) vs. Simone Rao (11-0, 1 KO), 10 Rounds, Vacant WBO Intercontinental Featherweight Title
Othmane Dioual (8-1-1, 2 KOs) vs. Leonardo Balli (10-1-2, 3 KOs), 10 Rounds, Vacant WBC International Silver Super Middleweight Title
