VETERAN MMA playing coach Jenery Quiñonero of Davao City got injured while training for his fight against Pampanga’s Jordan Cruz in the “Sta. Lucia Barrio Brawls” on April 25 at the Entertainment Center in Sta. Lucia East Mall. Cainta, Rizal.

The 47-year-old Quiñonero was supposed to make his debut as an amateur Juego Todo.

Juego Todo is the world’s first ever Filipino Martial Arts Hybrid Sport platform officially recognized as a professional sport under Games and Amusement Board.

“I tripped in sparring, which was over-stretched when takedown was not thrown,” said Quiñonero.

Only two from Davao will make their debut on April 25.

They are Limuel Malinao from Mawab and Alton Jhon Fuentes from Davao City of Team MMA Fit and Cenojas MMA Davao.

Malinao will face Jerald Galangue while Fuentes will collide with Rex Cabudbud.

They will be joined by Dennis ‘The Cannon” Quiñonero of Mati City, who will become the first Davaeño professional Juego Todo fighter from Mindanao.

The 42-year-old Quiñonero, the younger brother of Jenery, will fight against Monsod Cadalso of Pampanga in the main event.

He has a 1-2 record as an amateur in juego todo.

The event is presented by Latayan Hybrid Corporation with Ferdinand Munsayac as the fight director.
