King Lovick Monteadora to see action in 2026 Hainan Taekwondo Open

King Lovick Monteadora is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming 2026 Hainan Taekwondo Open, slated for May 1-5, 2026 in Sanya, Hainan, China.

The nine-year-old standout from Silang, Cavite expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to compete in the prestigious International tournament.

"I would like to thank Philippine Sports Commission Chairman John Patrick Gregorio, the Games and Amusement Board Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera, Senator Bong Go, Senator Rodante Marcolleta, PAGCOR Director Gilbert Remulla, PCSO Director Imelda Papin and Mr. Nixon Curioso for supporting my International tournament," said Monteadora.

I'm hoping to do well at this event," he added.

A Grade 4 student at School of Life, Monteadora has been making waves in the national and international scene with a string of strong performances.

He won the gold in Kyurogi and a silver medal in Poomsae during the 8th Heroes International Taekwondo Championship held at Eastern National Sports Training Center Chonburi in Pattaya, Thailand last August 8-9, 2025.

He also won Gold in Poomsae and a Silver Medal in Kyurogi in Mapata Best of the Best Taekwondo Championship held at Met Live in Pasay City last August 2, 2025.

He is also the young athlete Ambassador of the Philippines on a Billboard in Times Square, New York, USA last February 8,2025.

Most outstanding young athlete Ambassador posted on Edsa Guadalupe, Makati City. His LED Billboard posted last March 6, 2025 up to present.

The Legacy Crown Corporation awarded him as an International athlete brand ambassador last January 2025. (Marlon Bernardino)
