Pabular to face Kitano on April 13 at Korakuen Hall

MINIMUMWEIGHT Kurt John Pabular of Bansalan, Davao del Sur will fight Takero Kitano of Japan on April 13 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
It will be Pabular’s first international fight.
“I'm okay with my training and I've already got the exact weight. I'm in good condition,” said Pabular [8-1-0, 6KOs].
The 20-year-old Pabular will leave tomorrow at 2 p.m. from Manila to Tokyo.
He will be accompanied by chief trainer and manager Nonoy Neri and trainer Jopeto Masangkay.
“I will give him a good fight,” said Pabular.
Pabular recently stopped Rosalio Rapas by a 4-round knockout last December 21 in Davao City.
Pabular earlier won the Philippines Youth light flyweight title by beating Archiel Villamor last May 17, 2025 in Paranaque City.
However, Pabular lost in his first title defense against Neel Jacamos by a unanimous decision last August 12 in Magpet.
The 21-year-old Kitano [9-1-1, 4KOs], on the other hand, lost by a unanimous decision to Bohol's Joseph Sumabong for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight title last October 21 in Korakuen.
