AN EXPLOSIVE NIGHT PRESENTED BY NEW ERA SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT

MONTRÉAL, November 4, 2025 — New Era Sports & Entertainment is set to host an electrifying boxing event on November 29, featuring two 10-round championship bouts showcasing some of Canada’s finest talents.

In the main event, Francis Lafrenière (20-7-2, 11 KOs) will make a spectacular return to the ring to face Francy Ntetu (19-6, 4 KOs) for the North American title of the Canadian Professional Boxing Council (CPBC) at 175 lbs. The co-main event will pit Jan-Michael Poulin (10-2-3, 2 KOs) against Steve Rolls (22-4, 12 KOs) for the Canadian Super Welterweight (154 lbs) Championship.

The event will take place at La Nesra Event Studio and will be broadcast live on Triller TV and Millions, allowing boxing fans from all over to experience the action in real time.

Lafrenière vs. Ntetu for the CPBC North American Title (175 lbs)

The warrior from Coteau-du-Lac, Francis Lafrenière, makes his much-anticipated comeback after six years of absence. Now 43 years old, the right-hander has returned to training with exceptional discipline, rekindling his fighting spirit and competitive fire. A victory could open the door to a historic opportunity to face Jean Pascal, who is preparing for the final fight of his legendary career.

“I’m truly happy to bring Francis back into action and give him this unique opportunity. If he wins, he’ll have the chance to face the biggest name in Quebec boxing, Jean Pascal. It’s the kind of story only sports can write,”
— Yan Pellerin, President of New Era Sports & Entertainment.

“It’s a privilege to step back into the ring after all this time. I feel ready—mentally and physically—to deliver a great fight. Winning here, in front of my people, and earning a shot at Jean Pascal would be a dream come true,”
— Francis Lafrenière.

His opponent, Francy Ntetu, is no stranger to fight fans. The former North American champion has shared the ring with world-class fighters such as David Benavidez, Marcus Browne, and Lionell Thompson. A smart, technical, and determined boxer, Ntetu sees this fight as a chance to prove that he remains a formidable competitor.

“Francis is a true warrior, and I respect him a lot. But I’m coming to win. I’ve faced world champions and I know exactly what it takes to come out victorious. This will be a war from the first to the last round,”
— Francy Ntetu.

Poulin vs. Rolls for the Canadian Super Welterweight Title (154 lbs)

In the co-main event, Jan-Michael Poulin (10-2-3, 2 KOs) will aim to capture the national title against Toronto veteran Steve Rolls (22-4, 12 KOs). Hailing from Quebec, Poulin has carved his place among Canada’s boxing elite through perseverance, discipline, and technical skill. This bout marks the culmination of a journey that began in the local circuits, driven by pure passion for the sport. Fans will recall that he lost his previous fight to Mitch Louis-Charles.

For his part, Steve Rolls intends to use his international experience—having fought Gennadiy Golovkin, Austin Williams, and Erickson Lubin—to assert himself as the top super welterweight in Canada.

A High-Caliber Local Card

Fans will also witness the return of power puncher Hubert Poulin, the undefeated Facson Perrine, and Guillaume Gosselin from Plessisville, while Dante Tice Oliveira will make his professional debut. Rising prospects Diizon Belfon and John Mahoro, two explosive young athletes, round out a lineup that blends intensity, emerging talent, and Quebec pride.
