Bogota, Colombia: A historic announcement was made during the Ratings Meeting at the WBO 38th Annual Convention when President Felix “Tuto” Zabala stood up and announced the signing of Flyweight Knockout Artist Yuberjen Martinez to an exclusive promotional pact. Yuberjen was fresh off a knockout victory the previous night as his alliance was made formal by his promoter who asked his fighter to be installed in the Top 15.
“We are happy Yuberjen has found his home with All Star Boxing,” stated President Tuto Zabala Jr. “The Zabala family has a rich history in Colombia, I came here at just 15 years old with my first world champion Miguel ‘Happy’ Lora and now we are confident Yuberjen will carry that torch.” Closed Zabala.
All Star Boxing has had many world champions from this region including Carlos Maussa, Jesus “Cuchilla” Gelez and most notably Miguel “Happy” Lora. The signing comes at a right time as Zabala can make the fight for Martinez happen. He currently holds the reigning WBO Flyweight Anthony “Princesa” Olascuaga in a Co-Promotion with Akihiko Honda’s Teiken.
“I’m glad to finally make this move in my pro career and sign with such a great company in All Star Boxing,” noted Yuberjen Martinez. “I want to bring more glory to my country and become world champion, I’m sure Tutico & Tutiking will make it reality.” Closed Yuberjen Martinez.
Yuberjen has accomplished everything in the amateur ranks, participating in two Olympic Games where he medaled Silver in Rio 2016 with Silver and in Tokyo 2020 he dropped a split decision to localist Ryomei Tanaka. Many TV outlets had Martinez winning the match. After that Martinez has focused on his pro career where he carries an undefeated record of 6 wins all by the way of knockout.
Tuto Zabala Jr also added, “We have no time to waste and will take an aggressive approach with Yuberjen, He will kick off our 2026 Season with his first regional title appearance.”
All Star Boxing will announce more details regarding his next fight in the coming weeks.
