The Detroit Pistons defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Mexico City Game 2025 at the Arena Ciudad de México on the night of November 1st, during the week of the Day of the Dead celebrations. It was also the 34th NBA game played in Mexico, a special night where fans enjoyed an evening with the players, surrounded by basketball and Mexican culture.

Cade Cunningham recorded a double-double with 21 points and 18 assists, and Julen Duren added a career-high 33 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Pistons to a 122-110 victory over the Mavericks.

Cunningham became the first Pistons player to record more than 20 points, 18 assists, and three steals since Isiah Thomas in 1986.

This marked the eleventh consecutive NBA game played in Mexico.

Anthony Davis was unable to play due to a leg injury, while Mexican NBA legends Eduardo Nájera and Horacio Llamas, along with Carlos Arroyo, Sancho Lyttle, Greivis Vásquez, and Shawn Marion, received a standing ovation.

Russell scored 31 points, leading the Mavericks, and was supported by Cooper Flagg, who added 16 points on 3-of-14 shooting and four assists.
