Split-T Management Signs U.S. National Champion Obed Bartee-El

NEW YORK (September 17, 2025)--Split-T Management has signed United States National champion, middleweight Obed Bartee-El

Bartee-El, 23 of Harvest, Alabama is considered one of the top amateur boxers in the United States. A seasoned veteran of over 200 amateur fights, Bartee-El was a member of Team USA and was ranked number-one in the country in two weight classes.

The former U.S. National champion also was ranked in the top-five in the world in those weight classes.

"I have known David McWater for seven Years and he always treated me like family. When it was time to look for a manager, it wasn’t a hard decision to sign with Split-T Management," said Bartee-El.

"Turning professional will give me the opportunity to show the world that I am the type of boxer that fight fans want to see. My style is very similar to Terence Crawford. I can box, I can punch, I can switch stances and adapt to any style.

My competitive drive is top notch and I’ll do anything and everything to win my fights,:

Split-T Management CEO David McWater said, "I am extremely excited to sign Obed Bartee El. I watched Obed grow up and move through the ranks. I have always thought the world of him, both as a person and a fighter. Very happy to be working with him as he takes this next step."

Besides being a U.S National champ, Bartee-El was a Gold Medalist in the Continental Championship Games.

Bartee-El is motivated to get going as a pro as he has seen some of his U.S. Team teammates begin their careers.

"Seeing my peers turn professional and do well motivates me. I have competed and trained with a lot of the best in the world such as Split-T Management fighters Donte Layne, Dante Benjamin and Nathan Lugo as well as Omari Jones and Jahmal Harvey.

"I know that I have a bright future as my past accomplishments Let's me know I am capable of being world champion.
