Five Boxers Closed Fights Early via RSC During Wednesday’s Competition
TULSA, Okla. (September 17, 2025) – The 2025 USA Boxing National Open crossed the halfway point on Wednesday inside the Arvest Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During day three, there were 127 bouts contested across six divisions. Wednesday’s recap is presented by Rosetta Stone, a language-learning platform.
The PeeWee, Bantam, Intermediate and Junior divisions were contested during Wednesday’s opening session, while the Youth and Elite male divisions continued in the evening session. There were four RSC decisions in the opening session of the day, with winners including Jayvyn Sofa-Vergara (Intermediate Male | 70 lbs), Kaden Nance (Intermediate Male | 70 lbs), Lolena Kaleiopu (Intermediate Female | 119 lbs) and Rondez Martin (Junior Male | 119 lbs).
Five more RSC decisions were earned during Wednesday’s evening session, three of which came in the Elite male division. Michael Nwachukwu (Elite Male | 198+ lbs), Troyce Morris (Elite Male | 198+ lbs) and Armond Jackson claimed early stoppages from the Elite side, while Charleston Amerson (Youth Male | 121 lbs) and Frank Cox (Youth Male | 132 lbs) stopped their bouts early within the Youth division.
Day four of the 2025 USA Boxing National Open will commence on Thursday, September 18, at the Arvest Convention Center. Session one will kick off at noon CT with 85 bouts in the books, while there will be 57 matches in the second session at 6 p.m. CT.
