Renz Paolo Nool rules 5th Kenz Gambit Chess Tournament

Renz Paolo Nool of Paniqui ruled via tie break the 5th Kenz Gambit Chess Tournament at the Walter Mart in Paniqui, Tarlac last February 28.

Nool, tied for first-second places with Lyle Kelly A. Pabalan of Bamban 6.5 points apiece in the 10 minutes plus 3 second increment rapid event organized by Architect Antonio Mallari Capili.

With the highest tie break points, Nool took the title while Pabalan finished second.

Rounding up the top 10 were Jayden Austine Benedicto of Moncada (third), Djairon Carpo of Moncada (fourth), John Patrick Maigue of Gerona (fifth), Lance Austine Dela Cruz of Zaragosa (sixth), Jaeda Xzyneall Delos Santos of Tarlac (seventh), Jaikob Denniel Ta-as of Gerona (eight), Alrich Salonga of Tarlac (ninth) and Berwin Mangrobang of Camiling (tenth).

Adjudged category winners were Marianne Grace Sumaoang of Paniqui (Top Paniqui), Julia Mikaela Iniego of Moncada (Top Moncada), King Jake Isen Puno of Capas (Top U9), Jan Rex Carlo David of Tarlac ( Top Tarlac), Elmore Vergara Jr. of Moncada (Top U14),Princess Mae Taguiran of Moncada (Top U11), Jorence Dave Hermoso of Gerona (Top Gerona), Renz Erwin Estigoy of Ramos (Top Ramos) and Razelle Zakeisha Calacala of Anao (Top Anao).

Meanwhile, the staging of 6th Kenz Gambit Chess Tournament gets underway on April 25, 2026 at Walter Mart, Paniqui.
