BANGKOK, Thailand — Bacoleño southpaw Joepher "El Gwapito" Montaño looked strong and confident during yesterday's weigh-in ahead of his fight today for the vacant UBO Continental Welterweight Title today, Sunday October 6, at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.
The 28-year-old Montaño (18-5-2, 16 KOs) has the crucial mission of fighting tough warrior Shiva Thakran (19-5-1, 10 KOs) of Gurgaon, India, in a 10-round rumble promoted by Alessio Bisutti in association with Brico Santig and Supanat Chanram.
At the scales, both men made identical weight of 66.6 kilos (147 pounds), the limit of the welterweight division.

The event will also feature undefeated young warriors Efe Derin Konuk (9-0-1) of Türkiye fighting Ram Singh (4-0-1) of India. The hard-swinging Efe came-in at 61 kilos, while Singh making 61.1, and the winner will be "The New" UBO International Lightweight Champion, who will he be?
Ege Konuk of Turkiye and Shivam of India face off in Highland Show in Bangkok.
Also, Efe's twin brother, Ege, will see action against Shivam of India for UBO Continenal Super Lightweight. Ege made 63.3 kils while Shivam made 63. Good luck to both.
In addition, tall Italian 154-pounder Riccardo Rizzi lock horns against Israr Usmani of India. Their encounter is for the UBO Continental Super Welterweight Strap.
Both Undefeated. Alessio Bisutti of Italy scaled at 105 Kilos while Guarkan of Turkiye came in at 110 Kg for UBO Heavyweight Crown.
Popular Italian Heavyweight Alessio Bisutti made 105 kilos while his opponent Gurkan aradag came-in five kilos heavier at 110, for their skirmish for the UBO Continental Heavyweight Crown.
Unbeaten 13-0 Matt Floyd will climb the ring against former 2-time world champion Sirimongkol (98-5)
In women's action, Angelina Lukas and former WBO Flyweight World Champion Debora Anahi Lopez (21-2-1) will trade heavy artillery for the UBF (World Boxing Foundation) Super Flyweight Strap.
Pakistan's undefeated strong fighter Igrash Khan (3-0-1) battles slick Ktritiphak in a non-title 6-rounder in the featherweight division.
In another women's rumble, taller Hong Kong flyweight Hin Ting Chan (6-1) climbs the ring for Kadesara of Thaland.
The event is promoted by Brico Santig, Supanat Chanram and Alessio Bisutti.
