SEA Plus Youth Games - Tolentino

THE SEA Plus Youth Games - a new stage for the region’s future champions is being created and spearheaded by POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.
It is a multi-sport event for the youth that will serve as a preparation for other youth-based tournaments such as the Asian Youth Games and Youth Olympics Games.
The SEA Plus YG is targeted to start biennially in 2028 here in the Philippines.
It is called Plus because it will include an Asian country from another sub-region of the continent.
The initiative, which aims to further strengthen grassroots level competition, currently has the endorsement of 9 out of 11 SEA Games NOC Presidents.
Meanwhile, Tolentino said that the country has “just closed a year defined by breakthroughs and open doors for Philippine sports.”
He said that “the mission is to keep that fire burning.”
