BANGKOK, Thailand — Cute fighting girls Angelina Lukas of Kazakhstan (L) an Debora Anahi Lopez of Argentina smile after a successful weigh-in, feeling ready for battle for the vacant IBO Super Flyweight World Title today, October 6, at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hugely popular in her native Kazakhstan, the 27-year-old model/boxer Angelina Lukas (11-1, 6 KOs), wants more than anything to make her childhood dream come true: to become a world champion.
A social media star with millions of followers, the 115-pounder Angelina challenged for the world title at 118 pounds a year ago in Istanbul, Türkiye, losing via majority decision to then-bantamweight champion Daniela Asenjo.
Wearing a sexy outfit, Angelina Lukas of Kazakhstan made weight Saturday and is ready for battle.
Now as super flyweight, the determined Angelina will be taking on former WBO Flyweight World Champion Debora Anahi Lopez (21-2-1, 1 KO), a fighting girl from the Land of Leo Messi.
As beautiful as Angelina is (or more, it's up to you), the tough and sweet Debora Anahi -- who lives in Junin, Buenos Aires -- became the WBO Flyweight world Champion in December of 2020.
However, she lost the belt in her first defense, but wants to become a World Champion again.
Will the super aggressive, always-coming-forward Angelina Lukas score a thrilling big win in the most important war of her life, conquering the IBO Super Flyweight crown today?
Smiling and strong, Debora Anahi Lopez of Argentina flexes her muscles during Saturday's weighin.
Or will it be the former champ from Argentina, a highly tchnical boxer who jabs, moves, and fights from a distance the one to claim the vacant dark green & golden strap?
Both warrior women in careers by persons whom they cherish in their hearts:
Angelina is guided in battle by her coach/husband, Heavyweight fighter Taryel Jafarov of Azerbaijan; while Debora Anahi is taken care of by her brother, former boxer Ulises Lopez.
"Who o you think will win?
Co-promoter Supanat Chanram thinks that this is a 50-50 fight, and he explains:
"I think both ladies are good boxers. Angelina can punch somewhat harder as she is constantly on the attack.
"Meanwhile the Argentina girl (Debora) is a tactical fighter with good boxing skills, although lacking of power. She is got only one knockout in 24 fights. That says it all.
"That's because she is always on the move.
In my mind, I can imagine that Angelina (Lukas) will come at Debora, wanting to knock her out. That's Angelina style.
"In response, the Argentina girl (Lopez), will move around, using jab, wanting to land combinations, aiming to win by points.
"Can she handle Angelina's pressure? I saw that Angelina is the bigger. Angelina seems to be stronger too. But that we will have to find out.
"Another factor is that Angelina is used to fighting here in Thailand. Debora no.
"I think the two girls have the chance of becoming a world champion. This is 50-50," was Supanat's conclusion.
Does that reasoning makes sense to you? What do you think?
The international show also features a fight between a ladyboy and a boy, a battle for the UBO of Filipino welterweight Joepher Montano of Bacolod against India warrior Shiva.
Fans will also see Thailand's former world champion Sirimongkol Singwancha, Italian Heavyweight Alessio Bisutti, Aussie Light Heavyweight Matt Floyd and so much more, 13 bouts in total, including 4 Muay Thai battles.
The exciting event is promoted by Brico Santig and Supanat Chanram of Highland Boxing in association with Alessio Bisutti of FCC - Fight Club Championship.
Fans outside Thailand may watch the show LIVE free of charge on the YouTube channel of FCC - Fight Club Championship.
The show starts at 4 PM Thailand Time (5 PM in the Philippines, 6 AM in Argentina, 2 PM in Kazakhstan)
Good luck to all, May the Best Ones Win!
