WBO world-ranked Filipino bantamweight Marvin Mabait (19-1-2, 13 KO's) wants to demolish another Mexican, and he will have his chance this Friday night (Saturday morning in the Philippines) when he faces 27-year-old Mexican Alejandro "Payasito" Hern?ndez (26-10-2, 14 KO's) in the main event of the exciting card due to fire-up the ring of the plush Foro Polanco in Ciudad de Mexico.
The 12-rounder action-packed battle will be the first defense of the WBO Bantamweight Inter-Continental title that Marvin "Chavacano Disaster" Mabait conquered last October by ravaging brave Mexican warrior Johnny "Laberinto" Garcia at the 36 seconds mark of round one.
It was a huge thunderous effective KO win in favor of the 26-year-old Filipino that propelled the Mexican Garcia into dreamland, worrying fans and prompting medical staff to check his eye pupils.
That blackout suffered by the Mexican Garcia was like being struck by a bolt-of-lightning. Similar to the effect of being cracked in the head by one of those thrilling punches that used to throw the young Manny Pacquiao. Remember? Those were lethal blows that opponents couldn't see.
Will Alejandro "Payasito" Hern?ndez run into the same crushing fate .... or will the experienced Mexican be able to dominate the in-coming attacks sent at him by the promising world-rated Zamboangue?o southpaw?
If Marvin Mabait wins, he will continue his successful ascending campaign in the WBO bantamweight division. A defeat would send him spiraling out of the rankings into square one.
We'll find out soon enough.
The Marvin Mabait VS Alejandro "Payasito" Hern?ndez 12-round clash for the coveted WBO Bantamweight (118 lbs) Inter-Continental belt - televised LIVE on Telemundo - is a production of Mabait's Cuban promoter Felix "Tutico" Zabala Jr, director of the Florida-based All Star Boxing.
