TEMECULA, Calif. — Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) is set to make its highly anticipated return to Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, Calif. on Friday, April 3, headlined by a 12-round IBF Minimumweight World Championship fight between reigning champion Pedro “Kid Pedro Heneral” Taduran (19-4-1, 13 KOs) and Gustavo “Smiley” Pérez Álvarez (16-1-0, 5 KOs). Also featured on the card, the reigning WBC Silver Middleweight Champion Lázaro “El Rey” Lornzana (19-0, 13 KOs), continuing the promotion’s commitment to delivering world-class professional boxing events in Southern California.

“Pechanga Resort Casino has been an incredible home for Manny Pacquiao Promotions, and we’re proud to continue building our presence there,” said Manny Pacquiao. “Southern California has some of the most passionate boxing fans in the world, and we’re excited to bring another high-quality night of fights to Temecula on April 3.”
“Our inaugural event at Pechanga delivered a great experience for fighters and fans alike,” said Jas Mathur, CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions. “This April 3 show continues our strategy of showcasing top talent and rising prospects at world-class venues, and we’re looking forward to sharing more details about the card in the coming weeks.”
“We are thrilled to be back at Pechanga Resort Casino alongside Patrick Ortiz of Ringside Tickets,” said Manny Pacquiao Promotions President Sean Gibbons. “We are bringing one of the best matchups you can bring, featuring world champion Pedro Taduran taking on Gustavo Pérez Álvarez. This highly anticipated main event bout showcases a battle between the Philippines and Mexico, which produced some of the greatest rivalries Manny Pacquiao was involved in. You can always count on an all-out war when Filipino and Mexican fighters compete against each other."
Pedro “Kid Pedro Heneral” Taduran (19-4-1, 13 KOs) is a two-time IBF Minimumweight World Champion known for his rugged southpaw style and relentless pressure inside the ring. Taduran first captured the IBF title in 2019 and reclaimed it in 2024, establishing himself as one of the division’s most tenacious and decorated fighters at 105 pounds.
Standing across from him will be Gustavo “Smiley” Pérez Álvarez (16-1-0, 5 KOs), a fast-rising contender from Mexico with a seven-fight winning streak and an aggressive approach that has made him one of the sport’s most intriguing prospects in the light-flyweight ranks.
The event will air in the United States on DirecTV. Additional fight details, including the full bout lineup and broadcast team and timings will be announced in the coming weeks.
