Fight of the Night in Thailand: Ador Torres and Sairike Tuolewutayi Battle to a Thrilling Draw

BANGKOK, Thailand — In an very exciting battle, Bicolano super welterweight Ador Torres of the Highland Boxing Gym and "Big Lion" Sairike Tuolewutayi fought to an unforgettable and thrilling split draw on February 6 at The Bazaar Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

The fight was an intense back-and-forth rumble from the opening bell, with both fighters trading blows and showcasing their fighting skills.

Sairike (4-0-1, 3 KOs) and Torres (15-8-2, 11 KOs) fully committed to their war, standing toe-to-toe and giving it their all without clinches, knockdowns nor cuts.

Fans were indeed treated to top-quality action, with most close rounds up for grabs.

At the end, the judges' scores reflected the competitive nature of the fight:



Judge Thanin Phoompiew of Thailand scored it 58-56 for Sairike, Judge Worawuth Duankhao scored it 57-57, and Judge Carlos Costa of Cebu scored it 58-56 for Torres, resulting in a split draw.

Supervising the bout from ringside were WBC Executive Mr. Kevin Noone, WBC Asia Secretary Royal Thai Army Major General Damrong Simakajornboon, and Mr. Naris Singwancha of Thailand's Sports Authority.



OTHER RESULTS:

• Cute Shanghai fight girl Qiuyan Lu (5-0, 1 KO), promoted by Xian’s Topking Promoter Wang Fei, stopped Saowaluk Nareepangsri in two chapters, earning a fast TKO victory in the super bantamweight division.

• In a hard-fought battle, Yafei Ding (7-2-1, 4 KOs) of Wuhan, China, came from behind to stop fast and skilled Jelbirt Gomera (15-9-2, 8 KOs) in round six, claiming the WBC Asia Continental Featherweight title.
