Young Australian Benji Birchell Claims Title Win in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand — Sydney-native Benji Birchall (6-0, 5 KOs) presses forward his young boxing career, claiming a hard-fought 10-round majority decision victory over more-experienced Wisitsak Saiwaew in Bangkok, Thailand.
With this impressive win, the 16-year-old Benji earned the vacant PAT (Professional Boxing Association of Thailand) Bantamweight title, marking his first pro boxing belt – and certainly not his last.
Benji follows in the footsteps of his father and coach, David, and grandfather, Raymond, claiming fiercely contested triumphs in the sport they love, Congratulations, Benji!
