IIEE, SAEP shared lead, PIChE won 3rd in a row in the PTC WED NEMO Chess

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) represented by its Singapore chapter won over the Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) supported by the Filipino Chess Player League (FCPL) and the Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP) with GMG Chess escaped Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) backed by Faeldonia Philippines Chess Team with score of 72-70 and stayed unbeaten at 4-0 similar to IIEE. The Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) together with Mapua’s International Master Idelfonso Datu drabbed Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) for its 3rd straight victory while the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) edged the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) with International Chess Friends Federation (ICFF), 78-77 to tied then at 2 wins and 2 losses. Round 5 of the online chess of the Philippine Technological Council World Engineering and National Engineering Month (PTC WED NEMO) will be held on February 13, 2026 10pm via LiChess platform.

The annual sports event of the thirteen (13) accredited Professional Engineering Organizations in the Philippines led by PTC is in its 4th edition of D’ Engineers’ Cup in celebration of World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED), proclaimed by UNESCO, together with the observance of the Second National Engineering Month (NEMO) throughout the entire month of March 2026, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 488 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The on-the-board chess will be held on March 14 1pm at IIEE Cubao and other sports are as follows: Tree Planting at La Mesa Eco Park, March 1 9am hosted by Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE); Golf at Camp Emilio Aguinaldo on March 4 7am chaired by PTC-Women Engineers; Darts at Tiendesitas Pasig on March 14 10am by IIEE;
Pickleball at Tiendesitas on March 15 9am hosted by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE), Fun Run at Intramuros Manila on March 22 by GEP; Bowling and Billiard at Paeng's Gateway Bowl, Gateway 2 Cubao on March 28 10am onwards hosted by IECEP and PIChE, respectively; Fun Shoot at Camp Emilio Aguinaldo Cubao by IECEP; Badminton by PICE on March 14 and Basketball by SAEP for the weekends of March until the 29th.
