Away from the flashing cameras, boxers Nonito Donaire and Mikey Garcia are in Mexico helping with donations to people in need.
The two popular former world champions have been promoting their coming clashes to take place in the same November 9 Top Rank card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and today they are in Mexico with their award-winning trainer Roberto Garcia of Oxnard, Calif.
Nonito Donaire (31-2, 20 KOs) faces Armenian brawler Vic Darchinyan in a much-awaited rematch in the featherweight division, while his friend Mikey Garcia (32-0, 27 KO's) challenges Puerto Rican world champ Rocky Martinez (27-1-2, 16 KO's) for the WBO Jr. Lightweight World Title.
The above image from social media Boxeo Azteca shows the two talented boxers handling boxes of goodies brought from a super market cart into a van for distribution to the needed ones.
The silent, yet meaningful gesture, is being so well-received by fans around the country; now very positively commented in social media in Mexico:

Monse De Gonzalez: not everyone does what they do.
Jose Luis Medina Espinoza: These are real champions
Javi Lopez: this is the meaning of being great ... anyone can be number one, but if you're not humble like the are, then it means nothing. I take off my hat. Two great kids
