Controversial conditioning coach Alex Ariza has joined the team of Brandon "BamBam" Rios as the popular hard-hitting Mexican-American prepares for his November 24 fight against Ariza's former boss Manny Pacquiao.

'Trainer of the Year' Roberto Garcia, the head coach of BamBam Rios, has confirmed the addition of Ariza in the Rios camp.

Ariza, who is already helping Rios at Roberto Garcia's Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Calif, will be in a probation bases for two weeks. After the trial time is over, fans will know if Ariza keeps his job or not.

In the past, Ariza has helped in the conditioning of elite fighters as Amir Khan, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, and assisted renown trainers like Freddy Roach. All have fired him.

Also, reports have surfaced assuring that during fights Ariza has not been shy of grabbing the cutman duties from veteran cutman Miguel Diaz.

Would it be a good idea for chief trainer Roberto Garcia to add the polemical Ariza to their team?

Fans in social media have expressed their opinions:

Ruben Castaneda: Ariza knows Manny so well......so he's gonna be of great help..

Jesus Garcia: Wow, Alex with Bam Bam now, fighting against his old team... It should be fun to watch.

Mik Mik: Bambam should train with Memo, not Ariza... Ariza was fired coz Pacman got lots of leg cramps...

Mik Mik: Bambam can beat Pac without that guy. If Bambam fights like Mikey Garcia or Juan Manuel Marquez... But that's a very funny pic..LOL!

Terry Green: That's cute.

George Martinez: Q qiere Alex Ariza ahi? poco profesional d su parte (What was Alex Ariza doing there? Not professional from him)

Tommy Garcia: LMAO!

H. Recuero: donde sta la lealtad de ariza hacia su carnal el pacman? (Where is Ariza's loyalty towards his friend The Pacman?)

Rikki Parsonage: Brandon looking a lot slimmer than usual this far out from fight night.

Jose Herrera: I bet Roach is going to flip

Dit Hilario: Mind games
