Mexican Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez (R), will climb the ring as the reigning WBO Super Lightweight (140 lbs) world champion when he battles WBO Welterweight (147 lbs) Champ Timothy Bradley on October 12 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, informed Marquez to Diario Record.

"Just last Friday I spoke by phone to Mr. (Francisco) Valc?rcel (president of the WBO). The WBO allows me to climb the ring as the Super Lightweight world champion. Plus, the organization will elevate me to "Super Champion," said the legendary multi-division Mexican champion known as "Dinamita."

"After the (Bradley) fight, we'll see what happens. That's when I will decide whether staying as welterweight champion, continue in boxing or staying as Super Lightweight champion. But the night of my battle with Bradley I will be a world champion."

On the issue of drug testing, Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KOs) reaffirmed to Diario Record that he is willing to comply with the provisions of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), and acknowledged that he has already gone through the first test.

"I am willing to take all required tests. In fact, I had my first test fifteen days ago in Los Angeles. I have confidence that everything will be okay. Because I'm a clean fighter who trains and prepares. The result of my training, fans have seen."

On his coming world title clash against undefeated Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12 KOs), Marquez shared that his training is going well:

"Right now, I am about 80 percent. I think I'm gonna be pretty good in terms of preparation and in terms of strength. On Wednesday (today), I will start sparring to begin the tough part of preparation," shared Juan Manuel Marquez.

The fight will mark Marquez's return to the ring after his spectacular knocked out victory over Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao.

The chilling "Knockout of Year" occurred in the final second the 6th round of the historic battle when Pacquiao was pummeling Marquez against the ropes.

In October, Marquez will face Tim Bradley, while Pacquiao will take on the younger Mexican-American Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios in November.
