
US OPEN 9-BALL: KIAMCO, MISTICA, DAGOTDOT STILL KICKING

FILIPINO pool wizards Warren "Warrior" Kiamco, Ramon "Maestro Monching" Mistica and Daniel Dagotdot toppled their respective rivals to stay in contention in the on-going 37th Annual U.S. Open being held at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach - Norfolk Convention Center in Virginia, USA, yesterday (Tuesday night US Time).
The Pasil, Cebu native Kiamco blasted Jo Garcia, 11-0, in the loser's side while the Murphy, Quezon City based Mistica nipped Larry Faulk, 11-6, and the New Jersey resident Dagotdot crushed P. Panopoulos, 11-5.
However, the Davao City ace Reynaldo Campana bowed out in the longest running US 9-ball event after suffering his second loses at the hands of Shannon Fitch, 11-7.
The winner's brackets resume today (Wednesday night US Time).
Hall of famer Efren "Bata" Reyes goes up against Thorsten Hohmann of Germany, Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo opposite Mark Gray of Great Britain, Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan versus countryman Santos "The Saint" Sambajon, Israel "Amay" Rota versus Donny Mills of the USA, Ronato "Volcano" Alcano versus David Alcaide of Spain, Francisco "Django" Bustamante versus Mika Immonen of Finland and Carlo "The Black Tiger" Biado versus t Tom D Alfonso of Italy.
