CEBUANO BET KIAMCO ADVANCES TO JOHNNY ARCHER CLASSIC 10-BALL POOL TOURNEY IN US

FILIPINO pool master Warren "Warrior" Kiamco cruised to the semi-finals of the 1st Johnny Archer Classic 10-Ball Championship on Monday at the Marietta Billiards in Marietta, Georgia, USA.

The Pasil, Cebu native Kiamco stamped his class over American Mike Davis, 9-6, to remain undefeated in the Dragon Promotions production US$4,625 top purse event and sanctioned by the Association Of Billiard Professionals as an ABP International Points Ranking Tournament and hosted by the Marietta Billiard Club.

In the next round, Kiamo will meet Jonathan Pinegar of the USA, who brought downed countryman Shannon Daulton, 9-7.

Earlier, Kiamco crushed Jeffrey Helie, 9-6, James Giorella, 9-2, Mark Ritter, 9-6, and Shawn Putnam, 9-5.

Kiamco is fresh from winning back-to-back titles at the Houston Open in Legends Billiards League City, Texas and Open/Pro event of the Predator Tour at the The Cue Bar in Bayside, New York.

Meanwhile, Daulton and Shane "The South Dakota Kid" Van Boening of the USA hurdled their respective assignments in the loser's brackets to face each other in another Final-Four tussle's.

Daulton ousted Hunter Lombardo of the USA, 9-7, while Van Boening nipped Davis, 9-2.

Another Filipino entry is Israel "Amay" Rota also from Cebu province. American Tommy Kennedy sent Rota to the loser's side. Rota bowed to Lombardo, 7-9, in their do-or-die match.
