ROGEL S. GARCIA defeated Dr. Robin V. Medina, 7-4, to rule the recently concluded 2012 Hermes 10-Ball Cup last June 22 at the Hermes Sports Bar in Hollywood Square Building in West Avenue, Quezon City.
It was a sweet revenge for Garcia who lost to Medina, 7-6, in their first encounter last month.
Thus, Garcia went home the top prize of P100,000 while Medina settled for the runner-up's purse of P60,000 in the Hermes 10-Ball Cup, which is backed up by Tarsiers Corp., Malungai Life Oil, Association of Club, Karaoke and Disco Owners and B-League Corp.
Meanwhile, Billiards Managers and Players Association of the Philippines (BMPAP) founding head and Busgy Promotions top honcho Ceferino "Perry" Mariano settled for third and received the achievement award. Mariano, long-time benefactor of World Champion Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo, received P40,000 for settling third place.
