LAS VEGAS -- Erik Morales has now become the second Mexican fighter to win 4 title in 4 different weigh classes as he stopped a game but outmatched Pablo Cesar Cano. Morales was slow to start as he tried to figure out his opponent. Cano, a late substitute, was able to land some solid punches on Morales, who never has an easy fight. However, Morales? skill, class, and experience proved to be too much for the young Cano. Morales?s landed two sharp right hands on Cano, which busted his swollen eyes open with a cut. The doctor let Cano finish the 10th round, but the injury was too severe to let Cano finish the fight. Morales is now the 140lbs WBC titlist. Morales improves his hall of fame record to 52-7 (35 KOs), while Cano suffers his first lost and falls to 22-1-1 (17 KOs).
