Unbeaten Alvin Bais Singwancha claims MINPROBA flyweight title in Sarangani

Alvin Bais Singwancha and Francisco Elmar Singwancha were crowned new Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MINPROBA) champions during the exciting the weekend's boxing card at Kiamba Civic Center in the seaside municipality of Kiamba in Sarangani, southern Mindanao.

In the main result, unbeaten local prospect 23-year-old Alvin Bais Singwancha (14-0, 4 KO's) of Maasim, Sarangani, defeated Elbert Guardario of Gensan by disqualification to become the new MINPROBA flyweight king.

In the co-main event Francisco Elmar Singwancha (15-13-1, 3 KOs), 25, of Manticao, Misamis Oriental, scored a hard fought 10-rounds unanimous desicion over Surigao's Ronnie Dalot (3-3, 1 KO) to claim the vacant MINPROBA bantamweight (118 lbs) title.

Ranel Suco Singwancha, in the photo, (10-5-1. 5 KO's) prescribed severe punishment to Gensan bantamweight Rex Granada, prompting Zamboanga del Sur GAB referee Mr. Marvin Artes to stop the punishment in round 2.

In another combat, 21-year-old light flyweight Bimbo Nacionales (11-3-1, 2 KO's) of General Santos City and fearless Geboi Mansalayao of Baguio battled to a majority draw after 10-chapters of action.

Dangerous featherweight "Boy of Steel" Reynaldo Belandres (14-2-2, 9KO's) of Matalam, Cotabato del Norte, destroyed less experienced southpaw John Rey Pasaylo by way of a 3rd round TKO.

In an 8-rounder match undefeated local light flyweight warrior Weljan Ugbaniel (7-0, 2 KO's) kept intact his unblemished boxing record by scoring a unanimous desicion over Jhong Ponteras of Panabo, Davao del Norte.

Local kid 24-year-old bantamweight Paul Apolinario (11-7-2, 7KOs) won over Ruel Suya, 23, of Baguio City by TKO in the 3rd stanza.
The boxing card at Kiamba Civic Center in Sarangani was a total success according to card organizer Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotions.

"This card of boxing in Sarangani was full of exciting action-packed combats. We all had a great time. We thank fans for their enthusiasm and support," commented to Philboxing the young and very active promotor Brico Santig of the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio City.

Sarangani Province Vice-Governor Mr. Steve Chiongbian Solon, Sarangani government high ranking official Mr. Anecito "Jojo" Lopez and well-known boxing patron Mr. Naris Singwangcha of Thailand were the card's guest of honor.

Vice Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and Governor's deputy Anecito "Jojo" Lopez has been long time supporters and enthusiasts of boxing in Sarangani Province.

While Mr. Naris Singwancha is a well appreciated Thailand sponsor of boxing and muay thai, as well as the guiding mind in the rewarding victory of his spicy kid, Thailand's reigning WBA super flyweight interim world champion Teeparith Singwancha.

The card was organized and promoted and enthusiastic international matchmaker Mr. Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotions.
