Canoy now trains at MP Davao for Collazo's fight

SOUTHPAW Joey “The Babyface” Canoy of General Santos City and his trainer JR Edurot are now training at the MP Davao Gym in Davao City.
“They have been in an airbnb nearby and it's been 10 days already,” said manager JC Manangquil of Sanman Boxing.
The 32-year-old Canoy [25-5-2, 5KOs] is now sparring with former Philippine Youth light flyweight champion Kurt John Pabular [8-2-0, 5KOs].
Canoy will challenge undefeated WBO and WBA reigning champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo of Puerto Rico on June 20 in California, USA.
“Canoy had to be away with his family to focus on the fight,” Manangquil said.
Canoy, who is rated no. 5 in the World Boxing Organization [WBO] and no. 9 in the World Boxing Association [WBA] has been training hard.
“They can concentrate with their training,” said Manangquil.
