Sanman 101 boxing event to push through in General Santos

THE Sanman 101 boxing event will still push through despite the recent earthquake - a magnitude-7.8 struck off the southern island of Mindanao on Monday.
“We will still push through but we will just close it so it's not public,” said Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil, president of Sanman Boxing.
The fight is still set on June 13 at the Villa Kristen Resort & Hotel in General Santos City.
It will be top-billed by undefeated Criztian Pitt “Golden Boy” Laurente [15-0-0, 9KOs] of Gensan against Jing “Edo” Aguan [7-3-0, 5KOs] of Kidapawan for the lightweight division.
“No one will enter the ring except the fighters and the boxing officials,” said Manangquil.
The fight must still continue because the boxers are already here.
“The gym is okay while the fight area is safe,” said Manangquil.
Slated also to face are former PBF flyweight champion Arnold “Destroyer” Garde [13-17-6, 6KOs] of President Roxas against Yeerzhati Baihazhati [4-2-0, 1KO] of China for the WBA Asia South flyweight championship.
