Panamanian WBC Judge Jesus Aleman murdered in Panama

The tragic and suspicious circumstances surrounding the murder of Panamanian professional boxing judge Jesús Alemán on Sunday, March 29, 2026, during the inauguration of a soccer league in Ciudad Radial, Juan Díaz, Panama City, remain unresolved. He was shot along with seven other people, including another who died Monday morning.
Jesús Alemán, 52, was a renowned Panamanian political activist, a former candidate for representative of the Juan Díaz neighborhood, a professional boxing referee for the Panama Boxing Commission and the World Boxing Council, and a creator of humorous content and insightful critiques of the last two Panamanian administrations on social media. He was also widely recognized for his community and sports activism.
He was actively involved in community projects and was well-known for his humor and social activism, sharing daily videos on his digital platforms.
Jesús Antonio Alemán Williams began his career as a professional referee on April 30, 2010, at a boxing event at the Meliá Hotel in Colón. He went on to officiate fights in Venezuela, Colombia, and El Salvador, among other countries.
His brutal murder has shocked much of the Panamanian population and sparked a massive outcry for justice and greater security in the country.
Rest in peace, my friend. You were simply a brave man who dared to confront the corruption and the system of this country. Thank you for your commitment and dedication.
