Catubig, McDowell win in DC Athletic 4

LYKA Catubig and Kate Duffy Gel McDowell of the University of Mindanao Davao emerged champions in the DC Athletic Festival Season 4 last March 22 at the UM Track Oval.

Catubig won the 3,000 meter Open Women running event by clocking 11.08 seconds to beat teammate Kate Duffy Gel McDowell [11.45].

McDowell, however, ruled the 800m Open Women.

She was followed by Yriarte Geive of Team Nensu [2.35.27] and Princess Nina Luardo of USTP Claveria [2.36.81] as second and third, respectively.

Meanwhile, Kinetix Espana Team topped two events in the 4x4oo mixed relay [18 under] and 4x100 relay [18 under boys.

4x100 relay open men – 1. Penny Lopezo, Go for Gold 2. Dharlie Baguisan, UM Davao 3. Hiro Osunwoke, Pinoy Athletics
