Matthew James Sugatan wins Flash-ADV 160 9-Ball Tournament at Pacman's Cue Club; pockets P30,000

Matthew James Sugatan captures the Division 1 Flash-ADV 160 9-Ball title, defeating Ronaldo Ampong, 12-8, in an epic battle Finals held last February 25 at the Pacman's Cue Club, located at Lower Ground Floor, Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

The victory earned Sugatan P30,000 and a customized trophy in this event hosted by International Billiards and Snooker Champion Marlon Manalo, organize by tournament director John Vicente Luzon, assisted by JR Tancioco, Denver Navarro and Julian Malate.

"I am very happy for winning this tournament and very thankful to all who supported me financially and emotionally," said the 11-year-old Sugatan.

Ampong, in the meantime pocketed the runner-up prize of P10,000 and a customized trophy.

Earlier, Sugatan toppled 10 years old Francis Aaron Mamaril, in the semifinals to arrange a titular showdown with Ampong.

Ampong, on the other hand bested Ronald Allan Patiten.

Patiten, Mamaril and Raymond Lim finished 3rd, 4th and 5th placers.

Ivan Sobrevinas took the Division 2 title by beating Dave Siervo, 13-8, in the finals.

John Benitez and Ramon Cruz finished third and fourth placers.

Meanwhile, the registration is now on full swing for the Leg 2 will commence on March 28 to 29 at Pacman's Cue Club.
