Former US President Obama will donate Ali gloves to his presidential library

Former US President Barack Obama has announced he will donate a pair of boxing gloves autographed by the legendary Muhammad Ali to his presidential library, according to a statement released by the Obama Foundation this week.
"Ali's story is a great inspiration to President Obama, who has long treasured this gift of red Everlast boxing gloves signed by Ali, which were displayed in the White House throughout his presidency," the Obama Foundation said.
Former President Obama will temporarily send the gloves to the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, where they will be on display starting this June.
During President Obama's presidency, these gloves were kept in a private room near the Oval Office alongside a photo of Ali after his victory over Liston in the rematch on May 25, 1965, and have remained in his Washington office since leaving the White House.-
