Superstar champion Naoya Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) and challenger Murodjon Akhmadaliev (14-1, 11 KOs) successfully made weight Saturday in Nagoya ahead of their exciting battle for the UNDISPUTED super bantamweight title.
👉Watch LIVE for FREE on Facebook
Boxing fans in the Philippines and worldwide can watch the fight LIVE for free on the Top Rank Boxing Facebook page (@TRboxing).
The show starts at 4 pm (Philippine Time), with Inoue's main event action starting at 6:40 pm (Philippine Time). I’ll be watching, how about you?
👉 The Weights
During the official weigh-in, both fighters looked strong and in great shape!
Naoya's powerful physique tipped the scales at 55.2kg, just 100g under the limit.
Meanwhile, WBA interim champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev from Uzbekistan weighed in at 55.0kg, 300g below the limit.
👉Intense Face-Off
The two fighters engaged in a fierce stare-down during the photo op, their eyes locked in a moment of intense rivalry.
Despite the tension, they showed mutual respect, shaking hands firmly not once, but twice – first upon meeting and again when parting ways.
This gesture tells us about the high level of sportsmanship and competitiveness both fighters will bring to the ring tomorrow, Sunday, September 14.
👉Who will Win?
Will the far more popular and known Naoya Inoue outbox and overpower the Uzbek fighter for another thrilling knockout win?
Or will Murodjon Akhmadaliev shock the boxing world by becoming the new undisputed super bantamweight champion?
Hermanos, let’s tune-in LIVE on the Top Rank Boxing's Facebook page to find out. Remember, Naoya’s rumble starts Sunday at 6:40 pm (Filipino Time), and May the best man win!! 🇯🇵🇺🇿👍🏼🥊 #InoueAkhmadaliev
