
Panamanian Star Nataly Delgado wins WBA super flyweight champinship

Panamanian star Nataly Delgado soundly defeated former Mexican world champion Maribel Ramírez on Friday night, July 18th, by unanimous decision in 10 rounds, winning the WBA interim super flyweight world championship at the Atheyna Bylon "Tierra de Campeones" Training Center.
This historic night was supported by the National Government's major project to benefit Panamanian boxing. Delgado reaffirmed her overwhelming 10-1 lead to be crowned world champion and become the 33rd world champion and the third female champion after nearly a decade without a world champion. Now, in alliance with the "Con Paso Firme" government, better days are expected for Panamanian professional and Olympic boxing.
