In a resounding triumph, Filipino big heart warrior Jesse "The Little Giant" Espinas (24-7, 14 KOs), claimed the WBC Asia Super Flyweight title with a stunning round 5 technical knockout victory over China's Jiangtao Cao (10-5-2, 4 KOs) in an electrifying clash held Saturday, June 21, in Huhehaote, China.

The 32-year-old Oroquieta native who trained at Highland Gym, delivered a masterful performance, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination.

Despite facing a much taller opponent, Jesse Espinas's relentless pressure, experience, and technique ultimately proved too much for Cao, culminating in a thrilling stoppage victory that filled his Highland team with pride and joy.

Espinas poses with promoter Brico Santig (L) and trainer Marvin Alegria.

Guided by coaches Brico Santig and Marvin Alegria, Espinas's triumphant win marks one of the most significant victories of his career.

With his new title, Jesse sets his sights on defending his WBC Asia strap, and fans can eagerly anticipate exciting opportunities for the new champion.

A HOLY VERSE OF STRENGHT

Notably, Jesse's boxing trunks feature the inspirational Bible verse Philippians 4:13:

"I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength."

This verse, penned by the Apostle Paul from prison, speaks to the power of faith and trust in overcoming any adversity.

For Jesse, this verse serves as a reminder that real strength and empowerment comes from our faith in Our Lord Jesus.

So beautiful, blessed and inspiring, thank you, Jesse!

WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS

Heartfelt congratulations to Jesse Espinas on his well-deserved victory!

His family, friends, and the entire Highland Team must be beaming with pride.

Here's to many more thrilling performances from "The Little Giant" Jesse Espinas!
