World Kid to Host Meet-and-Greet and Open Workouts In advance of “The Return” on August 31 in Detroit

DETROIT (August 20, 2025) – World Kid has announced it will host two special events, both open to the media and public, as part of the lead-up to the professional boxing card, “The Return,” presented by World Kid Promotions, on Sunday afternoon, August 31, at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit.

The Meet-and-Greet is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 26, starting at 6 p.m. EST, at Qahwah House in West Dearborn, Michigan (22000 Michigan Ave.)

An open workout will be conducted on Thursday, Aug. 28, starting at 2 p.m. EST, at Darkside Boxing in Dearborn Heights, MI (23302 West Warren Ave.).

Participating boxers in both of the aforementioned fight-week events includes Sadam “World Kid” Ali (27-3, 14 KOs), the former WBO Junior Middleweight World Champion and 2008 U.S. Olympian; Dearborn Heights’ 6-time national amateur champion Husam “Lionheart” Al Mashhadi (12-1, 10 KOs), former IBF Lightweight World Champion Richard “RC” Commey (30-5-1, 27 KOs), 2015 USA Nationals silver medalist Khalid Twaiti (14-1, 5 KOs), and other Aug. 31st competing boxers.

All “The Return” action on Aug. 31st will be streamed live on www.bxngtv.com.

Tickets are on sale, priced between $200.85 and $41.20, and available for purchase online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/64465842/the-return-boxing-event-detroit-wayne-state-fieldhouse, as well as at Wayne State Fieldhouse (313.577.4069, Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. EST-2 p.m. EST).

Doors open at 3 p.m. ET with the first bout at 4 p.m. ET.
