Criztian Pitt Laurente (14-0) is set to challenge former WBC Asia champion Hebi Marapu (19-2) for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Lightweight Championship on August 31 at the Phela Grande Convention Center in General Santos City, Philippines, in a card promoted by Sanman Boxing led by Jim Claude Manangquil

Laurente remains undefeated and will face a rugged regional champion in Marapu for a regional IBF belt that could propel him toward broader international opportunities and world ranking in the lightweight division.

In his own words, Laurente says he’s doing great in training camp, has worked hard and prepared for this fight, and notes that it was a great experience to train with Japanese boxers, especially Naoya Inoue and Marlon Tapales, which he describes as an eye opener and a learning experience. He adds that he doesn’t have a prediction but is certain he will show his best version of himself, and he views Marapu as a kind of brawler fighter.

To all the fans and supporters, Laurente expresses his gratitude for the support, particularly to sanman boxing and all his sponsors. Also on the card, Reymart Gaballo, Jerald Into, Esneth Domingo, and others will be fighting different opponents. Fights are scheduled to start at 4 PM at the Phela Grande Convention Center, General Santos City. Sanman Boxing remains committed to developing Filipino talent and delivering competitive, title-filled events that showcase heart and skill to fans in General Santos City and beyond.
