Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Unbeaten Filipino contender Jerald Into (12-0) of Sanman & Quibors Boxing showcased his prowess in the ring by defeating previously undefeated American Ahmad Jones (10-1) via unanimous decision at the WBC Grand Prix tournament. Judges scored the bout 59-55 and 58-56 twice, allowing Into to advance to the second round.
From the outset, Into established control with his powerful straight left hand and maintained effective distance, dominating the fight from start to finish. His strategic approach and precision were key to his victory.
In a statement following the fight, Into expressed his gratitude: “I trained hard for this victory. I want to thank my family, my team, and everyone who supports me, especially the fans in the Philippines. I will do better in the next round.”
