Jabagat to fight Diaz on March 30 at Elorde Gym

LOCAL boy Benjie Jabagat will fight against Francis Jay “The Amazing Boy” Diaz of Cagayan de Oro City for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation light flyweight title on March 30 at the Elorde Gym at Tulip Drive in Matina, Davao City.

Jabagat, who holds a record of four wins, one loss with four knockouts recently stopped Ariel Bravo of Kidapawan City in the 1st round last February 9, 2025 in Kidapawan.

Jabagat’s only loss was against Johnrey Montesclaros by a majority decision last October 7, 2024 in Butuan City.

Diaz, on the other hand, recently bowed to Angilou Dalogdog by a technical knockout in the 5th round last November 30, 2024 in Tagbilaran City.

The 27-year-old Diaz [8-9-1, 1KO] last won against Oliver Gregorio by a unanimous decision last March 13, 2019 in Tayug.

The Jabagat-Diaz 10-rounder is the main event of Davao United Knock0ut Challenge [DUKC] under the Elorde Boxing Promotions.
Promoter Alfie Angelo Jonsay said that aside from the three other professional fights, there will be 10 amateur bouts.

The fights will start at 1 p.m. Matchmaker is Rodel Garde.
