‘MAGIC’ Mike Plania lost his ‘magic’ after dropping a unanimous decision to undefeated Omar Cande Trinidad for the WBC Continental Americas featherweight title last January 17 at Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Judge Krysti Rosario scored 99-91 while Carla Caiz and Fernando Villarreal both saw it 100-90 all in favor of Trinidad.

The 27-year-old Plania suffered his fifth setback against 31 wins while Trinidad improved his record to 18 wins with 13 knockouts and one draw.

Meanwhile, Mizuki Hiruta of Japan stopped Maribel Ramirez of Mexico in the 8th round by technical after Ramirez suffered a headbutt to retain the WBO World super flyweight title.

It was Hiruta’s 3rd title defense while Ramirez suffered his 11th loss against 15 wins and four draws.

Tom Loeffler is the promoter.
