PROBIOTICS CUP RMC shades DDN, 61-56

HOST and defending champion Rizal Memorial Colleges woke up just in time to beat Davao del Norte Regional Sports Academy, 61-56 in Davao Pride Basketball League [DPBL] Probiotics Cup Season 6 last December 8, Sunday at RMC Arena in Torres St., Davao City.

The RMC Bulldogs were trailing at 4-15 in the 1st quarter before it was tied at 21-all.

It was a see-saw game until the 3rd quarter as the Bulldogs erupted a 45-38 blast against the Shooting Stars.

The Bulldogs never looked back as they kept running the ball for its first win.

Ycer Ilagan top scored with 17 points, four rebounds, two steals and two assists.

Meanwhile, Crossing Bayabas NHS downed Daniel Aguinaldo NHS, 70-49 in the opening of the Women’s division.

Gwency Santiago led the Lady Wildcats with 18 points, three rebounds, six assists and three steals.

In the 16 under division, Maa NHS defeated Aguinaldo, 58-48 as Rhyan Plaza exploded for 30 points.

Plaza also added five assists, two rebounds and three steals.

Tournament director Aldin Celi made the opening of DPBL Season 6 which is now 35 teams.
