All set for 1st Tabuko Cabuyao Rapid Chess Tatluhan Team Tournament

Everything is set for the staging of the 1st Tabuko Cabuyao Rapid Chess Tatluhan Team Tournament on November 9, 2024 at the Waltermart Mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Rey Julius Taguba, Lightus Daleon and Christian Ace Alcira, the top players of Jolly Smile Dental Clinic chess team are now upbeat in their hopes to compete in this rapid chess tatluhan team tournament, which is dubbed Pisakan 3 vs 3 rapid chess team tournament with the champion going home with the top prize of P20,000.

"We hope to do well in this event," said Taguba, a certified online Arena Grandmaster.

The second to fifth placers will earn P12,000, P8,000, P5,000 and P3,000, respectively. Sixth to 10th placers will receive P2,000 each.

Special prizes for the top senior team, top female team, top kiddies team and top performer in board 1, board 2 and board 3.
Other participating teams are Tanauan chessers headed by Efren Arguelles, Frederick Manilay and Marc Anthony , Team Mannibak composed of Noel Glifonea , Chester Concordia and Roy Sorre, Team of Big Boys bannered by Leonard Raymond Reyes, Ace Bryant Ortega and Alfahad Ali, Makiling Chess Club Team A led by Richie Jocson, Joselito Puyo and Clyde Jared Toreña and Makiling Chess Club Team B of Zedric Silva, Zafirah Jahly Toreña and Terrence Relativo.
Also joining are Niugan Knight Warrios (Gian Cuenca, Noah Saet, Axcen Mateo), Larry Dumadag Team A (Virgilio Alba, Larry Egargue, Louie Orozco), Larry Dumadag Team B (Gary Legaspi, Lourecel Hernandez Ecot , Mark Justin Fortadez), QPCPA TEAM (Arvie Tombo, John Carlo Siaga, Jeroniel Perez), Scrabble Advocates (Ramon Esteves, Mark Alvin Chua, Norman Gaca) and Team DENR (Ruel Gonzales , Henry Boroc , Ramil Lempiada).
