BMO Stadium, Los Angeles, CA -- In a intriguing Heavyweight fight, Martin Bakole (21-1, 16KOs) knocks out Jared Anderson (17-1, 15KOs) in an exciting fight!!!
This fight was the most exciting fight of the night so far as the bevy of outstanding undercard fights unfold on the Terence Crawford vs Israel Madrimov Unified super welterweight championship here Saturday night.
Anderson came came out in the first round with NO fear. Anderson boxed and stalked Bakole and landed punches well. Bakole was patient and timed Anderson scoring a knockdown with a perfect upper cut. Anderson beat the 10 count, but was literally saved by the bell.
Anderson stayed in the fight and showed a lot of heart throwing combinations and body shots to Bakole through rounds 2-4. Bakole continued landing the heavier shots and did not appear to be fazed at all by Anderson's shots. It appeared Anderson began slowing down from all of Bakole's shot.
In the 5th round, Bakole knocked down Anderson for the second time and he almost fell out of the ring. Bakole seized the momentum and continued throwing punches. After a barrage of punches, the referee decided that Anderson has had enough and stopped the fight.
In the ring post fight interview, Bakole said he wanted a rematch with his lone conquer heavyweight Mike Hunter. Bakole also said he wanted to fight the best heavyweights.
As for Anderson, he said he didn't listen to his trainers during the fight, which is why he lost. Anderson said he is only 24 years old and he will go back to the gym, no doubt in an effort to correct the mistakes he made against Bakole.
EXCELLENT FIGHT!!!
