BMO Stadium, Los Angeles -- In a Light heavyweight match for the WBA Interim Light heavyweight title, David Morrell (11-0, 9KOs) was forced to go the distance with the durable Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-3, 21KOs) on the undercard of the Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov Unified Super Welterweight world title fight Saturday night.

Morrel started off strong, but Kalajdzic was able to avoid being knocked out by Morrell. Kalajdzic had his moments in the middle rounds and landed effectively, but Morrell would prevail by finishing the fight strong and landing the heavier punches.

Judges scores: 117-111, 117-111 and 118-110 all in Morrell's favor.

During the post fight interview, Morrel called out David Benavidez and still expressed a desire to fight unified Supermiddleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
