Bissuti (R) exchanges punches against Panya.
Unbeaten 102-kilos warrior Alessio Bisutti (7-0, 6 KO's) of Venetto, Italy, dropped and stopped in five exciting stanzas Thai challenger Panya Chomphoophuang (18-15-1, 13 KO's), for a successful first defense of his WBC Asian Continental Bridgerweight Title July 13 at the FCC Boxing Gym in Pattaya, Kingdom of Thailand.
Trained by Filipino coaches, Bisutti did not wasted a second in coming on the attack, rocking the more-experienced Panya, although the 33-year-old Thai fighter timed him well, countering the bigger man with solid combinations that momentarily halted the intense pressure from the Italian fighter.
None of the boxers showed that much a refined technique nor finesse in their boxing, but the main event battle was an exciting, vibrant one, thrilling fans in attendance, keeping them on the edge of their seats.
Victorius Alessio Bisutti of Venetto, Italy Retains his WBA Asia Continental Bridgerweight Belt.
The war reached its climax during the action of frame five when Alessio Bisutti exploded huge hands on the Thailander, short-circuiting him, decking him near the ropes for the complete count.
With the win, Alessio Bisutti retains his WBC Asia Continental Bridgerweight Belt, looking forward to his next rumble scheduled for October at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.
