2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp Attendees Announced

Seventeen Athletes, Nine Male and Eight Female, Have Arrived for USA Boxing’s Youth High Performance Selection Camp in Colorado Springs, Colo.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 16, 2026) – The 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp has begun following the arrival of 17 athletes at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (USOPTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo. The USA Boxing High Performance department will evaluate the 17 boxers in attendance at the camp from Monday, Feb. 16, through Wednesday, March 4.

The champions in 17 weight classes, nine males and eight females, from the 2025 USA Boxing National Championships were invited to the USOPTC for the Selection Camp and will contend for a spot on the 2026 Youth High Performance Team. Of the 17 weight classes being evaluated throughout the camp, 13 are currently designated as Olympic weight classes. However, all 17 athletes will be evaluated for a position on this year’s team, with the opportunity to represent the United States in international competition.

Upon the conclusion of the 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp, boxers who are named to the 2026 Youth High Performance roster will immediately travel to Bangkok, Thailand, for the World Boxing Futures Cup. Competition at the World Boxing Futures Cup will take place March 8-15 and will serve as a mandatory qualifying event for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

A complete list of the boxers in attendance at the 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp is listed below. Of the 17 athletes represented on the Selection Camp roster, Lauryn Elmore (women’s 65 kg) and Angel Blancarte (men’s 85 kg) return after earning a spot on the 2025 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Team. Elmore and Blancarte each earned bronze medals for the United States at the 2025 Brandenburg Cup in Germany.

USA Boxing National Development Coach Edward Fonteneaux (Fayetteville, N.C.) will lead the way throughout the Youth High Performance Selection Camp. He will be assisted throughout by National Pool coaches, including Holly Gregson (Idaho Falls, Idaho), Jason Hamilton (Spanaway, Wash.), Yessenia Montalvo (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Ronald Wright (Columbus, Ga.).
